Description
FARE THEE WELL FANTASY for clarinet choir is a colorful, textural setting for clarinet choir of the American folk song Dink’s Song, or “Fare Thee Well.” Composer Steven Paxton has scored it for four B-flat clarinets (or three B-flat clarinets and one alto clarinet) and one B-flat bass clarinet, with an optional solo passage in the first B-flat clarinet part. The range and scoring is appropriate for young players, with the staggered entrances providing interesting reading challenges.
