Down Wiggle is an exciting piece for young strings students to develop their tone and bow control. Intonation and the fundamental finger pattern is developed through the use of the D tetrachord.
The same rhythmic figure is used throughout comprising of crotchets and quavers. The final two bars are an exclusion to this pattern.
To prepare for success, at the start of the piece (and in the middle) there is a section to chant lyrics and air bow the rhythm.
