Description

Demelza’s Dance is an original work scored for Wind Quintet- Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon.

Demelza is the name of the feisty redhead character who is famously the spirited heroine in Winston Graham’s Poldark novels. Made into a series on UK TV it was a massive hit.

It is in a bright playful 2/4 time in Concert G minor. The middle section by contrast is in G major and is a lyrical contrasting variation before returning to the G minor section then coda. I have placed it at intermediate level (maybe higher end!) but on the youtube link there is the full score for you to judge suitability.

The full score is 18 pages, instrumental pages are 4 and it is 4mins 25 in length.

NB. Flute choir, Clarinet choir and various instrumental duet versions with piano are also available.

Price is for the full score and all parts.
