Description
An enduring favorite Christmas hymn performed by musicians of all genres throughout the years. This Intermediate piano arrangement reinforces a student’s execution of the four-note chord in root position. Instructional in nature (arranged specifically at the request of a student), the fingers get a reprieve from the perpetual motion of this one-handed workout. Finger numbers and pedal markings are laid out to assist the intermediate pianist. A small staff (ossia) has been inserted in a few measures, suggesting easier playing patterns. This is helpful for those with a smaller stretch who are not quite ready to tackle the four-note chord, or who find the sixteenth R.H. run (before the melody repeats) too challenging. Chord symbols added to help the performer identify the L.H. patterns. Verse one lyrics written within the score. The arranger has included a page with instructional comments. Performance Time: 1:55.
