Apocalypso in G is a calypso-style piece for an early-intermediate string orchestra. The piece features syncopated rhythms, some tricky bowing, and pizzicato cello and basses. Not only will your students be humming the melody all day, but they’ll be dancing to it as well. This piece was written during the pandemic (hence the title), and shouldn’t be taken as anything other than light-hearted, and optimistic.
