Espionage, scored for Clarinet in E flat, 3 B flat Clarinets, Alto and Bass Clarinet. It is a descriptive piece, and the intention was to make it mysterious in style. It has a calm intro going into a heavily syncopated driving 4 as the main theme punctuated by a heavy accented ostinato figure to add tension. The middle section is calmer and more relaxed where elements of the 1st theme appear in fragmented form. The intro returns once again before returning to the main theme which has slight modifications-extra accents etc, and the piece ends with the recurring stabs heard earlier before flourishing out. The ranges of the Clarinets are between one and a half octaves and 2 octaves depending on the part. Set at intermediate level but the full score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. Ideal as a showpiece, contest/festival, concert etc or an additional piece for the repertoire. Price is for the full score and set of parts. 4 Mins 35 in length.
