François Riga was a 19th-century composer active during the Romantic period. He was noted in connection with sacred choral music, particularly in Belgium and France.
The title, Ecce panis, refers to the Eucharistic hymn Ecce panis angelorum (“Behold the Bread of Angels”), often sung during Benediction or Corpus Christi celebrations.
