Gluck – Marche religieuse d’Alceste for Cello and Piano
Alceste is an opera composed by german composer Christoph Willibald Gluck in 1767. Gluck was famous for his operas in italian and french style, anouncing the classical era. Among his most famous works are Alceste, Orfeo ed Euridice and Iphigenie en Tauride. This arrangement of the very nice slow air “Marche Religieuse” can be played in concert or in Church as a sacred piece.
