Description
Kairos for string quartet is in D major and uses a variety of time signatures throughout including 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8. The pulse of the music is driven by the quarter and eighth note rhythm. At measure 64, the main theme is restated using pizzicato in contrast to the rest of the piece using which employs regular bowing. Duration: Approx. 7 minutes and 30 seconds.
