Description
This piano arrangement, aimed at Grade 6-8 players, allows the melody to speak simply for itself in the right hand, while the left hand is given (it might be said!) considerable work to do to accompany it. This makes it a good arrangement for educators and performers alike. The constantly-moving left hand quavers/eighth notes should not overwhelm the melody but should provide a lilting, balladic undercurrent to buoy it up; the sostenuto pedal can be judiciously employed to glue it together sonically and harmonically.
