Description
Rendezvous – “A meeting at a particular place and time- often in secret!” I wanted to create a piece that has an air of anticipation and mystery. As if reading the first few sentences of a book not knowing what the outcome will be!
Arranged here for Clarinet Choir (Eb Clarinet, 3 Bb Clarinets, Alto and Bass Clarinet), it is in concert F minor , and has a slight latin feel via a push beat 3 underpinning the melody. It has two main sections- the later having different melodic ideas but the rhythmic elements of the 1st section remain. Then a calmer legato transition follows before returning to the original idea to go onto the climax and outro.
I have set it to intermediate level, but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. The full score is 16 pages, and the parts are either 3 or 4.
It is 4 mins 40 in length and would be a great addition to the repertoire.
