Description

A piece for solo French horn with the other instruments of the wind quintet accompanying. A song composed by Australian composer Mona McBurney with lyrics by K F McCrae, about the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. This song was originally published in 1932 and written for voice and piano. This was during the building of the shrine and before its completion in 1934. 1932 was also the year of McBurney’s death. It is dedicated ‘To the memory of the Gallant 1914-1918’
