Description
Night-Time in New York is a short concert piece for Flute Duet and Piano. It is a gentle romantic waltz which has blues/jazz elements to capture the laid back atmosphere of a stroll in the evening. (The style is rather like a lounge style piece) It is in ternary form in concert D major- The instrumental ranges are just over 2 octaves with the melody being fairly equally split between parts. The grace notes and/or embellisments can be omitted if necessary.
The sections are in D major and B flat major, before returning to the opening theme in D major once more -then small coda. I have set it at Intermediate level but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. It’s around 4 minutes in length.
Price is for the Full score and all parts.
Should work well for concerts, recitals, productions, weddings, valentines, even has a “Christmas tint”. It is something perhaps a little different for the repertoire.
N.B. There are alternative versions available for other combinations of instruments.
