Description
This piece is scored for Low Flute Ensemble- 3 Altos, 2 Basses and a Contrabass Flute.
It is a gentle romantic waltz which has blues/jazz elements to capture the laid back atmosphere of a stroll in the evening. (The style is rather like a lounge style piece) It has 3 different sections before returning to the opening theme once more at the end-then a small coda. It is 3 mins 30 in length.
The full score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. I have set it to Intermediate level, but some early intermediate players should be ok with it.
It should work well for concerts, recitals, productions, even has a “Christmas tint”. It is something perhaps a little different for the repertoire.
N.B. Various instrumental solo versions are available, as well as small ensembles and solo piano.
