Description

Peer Gynt Suite No.1, Op. 46, is a collection of music composed by Edvard Grieg originally written for the 1876 premiere of Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt.

Anitra’s Dance was from Act 4. Peer had been stranded on a strange Moroccan shore where the local Bedouin tribe mistook him for the Prophet. Eager to please him, Anitra, the chieftain’s beautiful daughter, performs a bewitching dance. This arrangement is for Flute Duet and Piano.
It is in Concert D minor and I have set it to Intermediate level but a competent early intermediate player could be ok with it. Trills which appear within the piece could be omitted if necessary.

The whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. It is around 3 mins 45 in length and would be a great addition to a repertoire.
Price is for the Full score and parts.
