A lively Christmas piano duet featuring three traditional
carols: “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Pat-a-pan,” and “Brightest and Best”
(also known as “Star in the East”). As opposed to a medley, which typically
presents songs sequentially, in this “mash-up” you’ll hear the different
melodies sometimes layered on top of each other and sometimes woven together in
bits and pieces to create an exciting polyphonic tapestry. Purchase price is for two copies so you and your duet partner can each have one. 6 pages for each
part, or 13 pages for the combined score. The PDF download contains both
layouts so you can play from the one you prefer. Intermediate level.
