Description
This is a happy bright 2/4 polka with based on music you would expect to hear from a good old fashioned circus! It and would make a lovely addition to a programme, possibly as an encore piece!
It’s is in ternary form with 2 main sections in the first section- (Flute 1 has one or two bars ossia bars) Then the piece changes key in the middle section retaining the same tempo and gives a new melody. At the end of the middle section, the texture thins out alternating between instruments before it returns to the opening section again, although slightly modified before reaching a conclusion.
Put at Intermediate level, but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. It is a little over 3 minutes in length. Great for a concert, festival, themed event or just for fun!
