Description

Arranged for clarinet quintet, this is the adagio, by Zipoli, made famous by so much airtime on Classic FM. The music was originally intended to be played on the organ during the “Elevation of the Host” section of the Catholic Mass – hence the title.

It sounds particularly beautiful on this kind of? ensemble. The melody is in the 1st Bb clarinet and the other parts form a chordal accompaniment.

I really like this piece! A lovely composition arranged expertly for Clarinet Quintet. A beautiful gentle feel throughout with a lyrical Solo Clarinet featured. Extremely well done.
