Overture to the Land and People is an orchestral journey exploring the occasional imbalances and overall synergies between civilisation and the land. The piece features three distinct sections. It opens with a brisk introduction featuring a wonderous, soaring oboe solo, conveying the joyful and energetic, as well as expressive mood of a cityscape. Next, a slow and lyrical section, perhaps showing the slower mood of nighttime. Finally, a quick finale, summing all previous themes and concluding the piece with a triumphant finale.
Overture to the Land and People is scored for a full orchestra, including piccolo, two flutes, oboe, two clarinets in Bâ™, two bassoons, contrabassoon, four horns in F, two trumpets in Bâ™, two trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, snare and bass drum, mallet percussion, auxiliary percussion, harp, violins 1, violins 2, violas, cellos and double basses.
This product is for the full conductor’s score of the piece.

Amazing piece. Everything goes together perfectly. There is just such a great contrast between the different sections and the majestic rising feel of the crescendos are so clean and pure that this is easily the best composition I have ever heard. :)))
