Description
A setting for 8-part flexible ensembles of Monteverdi’s beautiful and moving part song, “Amor”.
I recently discovered this as my choir was singing it in Rome in March 2017 and thought it might work on brass, which it does, but it works even better with a mix of timbres. The combination is a tad unusual, because it was originally for Canto, 2 Tenors and Bass with lute/string accompaniment, but the final result works really well. It is intended to work with practically any combination of instruments (provided you stick to the appropriate range/octave for each part.)
Parts are supplied as follows:
Part 1 : Bb, C (Treble Clef)
Part 2 : Eb,
F, C(Treble/Alto Clef)
Part 3 : Bb,
