Finished just before he died, this is probably Pergolesi’s masterwork. It is a beautiful protrayal of Mary, mother of Jesus and Mary Magdalene standing at the cross.

I have set it as a Cornet/Trumpet and Fugelhorn duet (although the flugel can be replaced by a horn) with a brass quintet accompaniment.

Parts Supplied:

Solo Cornet/Trumpet

Flugelhorn/Horn in Eb/F

Soprano Cornet

2nd Cornet/Trumpet

1st & 2nd Horns (Eb/F)

Baritone/Trombone (Treble/Bass)

Euphonium (Treble/Bass)

Eb Bass/Tuba (Treble/Bass)
