Introduction
This arrangement of Grainger’s popular tune faithfully adapted the liveliness of the String Orchestra/Quartet and the Piano version into woodwind quintet, with added elements drawn from—but not blindly copied from—the Band version. Keeping the tune in G makes it easy for flute players to play the reel in traditional Irish fashion.
