Description
This is where square dance meets ragtime! An original piano solo written loosely in rag form, yet with a hoedown, folk flavor. Instead of sixteen-measure repeated sections, each is eight measures to help the performer dissect the form, and each section is labeled for instruction. Syncopation, flatted thirds and sevenths place this in an upper intermediate level and above. Performance Time, with no repeats: approx. 2:10. (YouTube video omits the repeats, but they are heard on the mp3).
