Description

Instrumentation: solo flute, harp (ad lib), string orchestra

Description: This is a full score to Yoon Jae Lee’s arrangement of Popp’s La Chasse Galop brillant for string orchestra. This set of parts contains only the tutti string and harp parts. The solo flute part is the same as the original and may be downloaded free of charge on IMSLP. The set of parts is available separately.

This new arrangement of La Chasse allows flutists to perform this work in public as a concerto. It is a wonderful addition to the flute concerto repertoire making this virtuosic showpiece available for competitions and orchestra concerts alike! The piano accompaniment has been carefully arranged idiomatically for string orchestra parts are simple enough to be played well by school and student orchestras. The harp part is optional and may be played with just string orchestra if harp in not available.
