We’ve Been A While A-Wandering – String Quintet/String Orchestra
A brand new arrangement of this lovely but unfamiliar carol. I have set 6 verses. The first four are standard harmonies but verse 5 (CB. solo) I have recast the melody in 6/8 throughout and in verse 6 I have treated the melody like a round (which it does really well at 1 bar distance.
This will be a new carol for your audiences at Christmas..
parts supplied: Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Violoncello and Contrabass.
