Brass ensemble – Soave sia il Vento
A setting of this beautiful and famous terzettino from Cosi fan tutte for brass octet.
There are two groups of players, the singers (Soprano, Cornet, Euphonium) and the accompaniment (2* Cornets, Flugelhorn, Euphonium and Eb Bass).
This song is where Dorabella and Fiordiligiare wishing their fiancees good luck on their journey to war aboard a ship. The music was also made famous by its inclusion in the film Amadeus – a romaticised telling of the enmity between Mozart and Salieri.
