Description
Brass Quartet – Little Fugue in G Minor
A very well known fugue by Bach
The Fugue in G minor, BWV 578, (popularly known as the Little Fugue), is a piece of organ music written during his time at Arnstadt. It is one of his best known fugues and has been arranged for other instruments, including an orchestral version by Stokowski.
The fugue’s four-and-a-half bar subject in G minor is instantly recognizable.
Here it is arranged for brass quartet with alternative parts for F or Eb horn/euphonium, and Eb Bass or Tuba.
