Description

The score includes a separate page for the obligato part.

This 3/4 piece in G major is suitable for a solo piano and an instrument that fits the pitch range. The lowest obligato note is D4 (D above Middle C), and the highest is G6 (four leger lines above the treble clef staff).

Ornaments (grace notes) for the piano are acciaccaturas, and for the obligato part there are trills, lower mordents and an acciaccatura.

The instrumental obligato part is optional because the piano part has been written to be played as the main melody.

Additional Information:

The ornaments and dotted rhythms add a Scottish, bagpipe-type flavor. It is a very melodic piece to play and for audiences to enjoy.
